Overview
Our Electric Guitar instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical styles on both electric and acoustic basses. Beginners work on simple songs and bass lines, sight reading and theory. Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory concept, and end with something fun – such as your favorite riff or song. We employ a variety of bass method books based on student needs and preferences, and encourage students to bring their favorite bass songs to learn during their lessons.

Do I need to purchase a Electric Guitar to learn the instrument?
The Academy offers Electric Guitar for student lessons (for your convenience, students can use one of ours at their first lesson). But to practice at home, you will need a bass. Many online retailers such as musiciansfriend.com sell appropriate guitars for beginners.
